Congress Information
Where is the STMS Congress being held?
The congress will be hosted at the National Tennis Centre (NTC) of the KNLTB (Dutch Tennis Federation).

When is the welcome reception?
The Welcome Reception will take place on Thursday, April 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the foyer of the NTC of the KNLTB.
Is lunch included?
Are coffee breaks included?
Yes, coffee breaks are provided and will include coffee, tea and a small snack. They will be served at the following times:
• April 4th: 10:30 AM (coaches) or 11:00 AM (scientific) and 3:00 PM
• April 5th: 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM
When is the conference dinner?
The conference dinner will take place on Friday, April 4th, at the NTC of the KNLTB.
• Cost: €60 per person.
Does the congress offer CPD/CME points?
Yes, the conference provides the following accreditation:
- Sports Physicians (two-day event):
Accredited by the VSG with 11 CPD/CME points. - General and Sports Physiotherapists(two-day event):
Accredited by the Accreditation Bureau for Physical Therapy with 11 CPD/CME points. - Tennis Coaches (one-day event):
Accredited by the KNLTB with 6 PO points.
In-person attendance only at the STMS Congress
Please note that the STMS Congress will be held in-person only, and there will be no virtual attendance options available. The feaured sessions on Mental Health Challenges, Competing in the Heat, Data Innovation and Elbow and Shoulder Injuries will be video taped and a summary will be available after the conference.

How do I book a room at the Grand Hotel Amstelveen with the discounted rate?
- Register for the Congress:
Access to the discounted hotel rate is available after registration. - Receive Your Booking Code:
A confirmation email will include the unique booking code. - Make Your Reservation:
Use the code to book your room directly with the Grand Hotel Amstelveen via the email address provided in the confirmation. - Act Quickly:
Rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. - Confirm Your Details:
Verify your check-in/out dates and communicate any special requests to the hotel.

How do I get from Schiphol Airport to the NTC of the KNLTB?
- Taxi or Rental Car
o Travel Time: 15-20 minutes.
o Destination address: Bovenkerkerweg 81, Amstelveen. - Public Transport
o Option A: Train to Amsterdam Zuid (7 mins) → Bus 174 to Amstelveen, Nesserlaan stop (15 mins) → 5-min walk.
o Option B: Connexion Bus 199 from Schiphol to Amstelveen Nesserlaan stop (35-40 mins) → 5-min walk. - Bicycle or Rental E-Bike
o Distance: 15 km (40-50 minutes).
o Follow bike paths to Amstelveen.
Congress Program
What is the difference between the Coaches Conference and the Scientific Conference?
The STMS Congress features two distinct events: the Coaching Conference and the Scientific Conference.
- Coaches Conference:
o A one-day event on Friday, April 4th.
o Starts in the conference room, with all other sessions held indoors or outdoors (depending on the weather) on the tennis courts. - Scientific Conference:
o A two-day event on Friday, April 4th, and Saturday, April 5th.
o On Friday, all lectures are held in the US Open Seminar Room.
o On Saturday, main lectures take place in the US Open Seminar Room, with parallel sessions in the Wimbledon Room.
Can attendees cross over between the two events?
- Participants of the Scientific Conference can attend the Coaches Conference sessions on Friday.
- Coaches may attend Scientific Conference lectures on Friday if space permits.
What workshops are being offered?
We offer hands-on workshops in tennis medicine, focusing on:
Examinations of the wrist, elbow, shoulder, groin/hip, and functional movement screening.
When and where do the workshops take place?
The workshops take place on Saturday, April 5th, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the NTC. Each session lasts 30 minutes.

Poster presentations
The STMS encourages researchers to showcase their work during the poster sessions, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to advancements in tennis medicine and science.
